Clearlabelling News
Well we are still going from strength to strength.  We now get about 700 unique visitors a day.  Gobbling up my "Bandwidth" :). But I suppose it is good.
THE BAD NEWS

Our colour printer has packed up, we still have the black/white. laser printer
Not only that but our Scanner has also packed up.  So we can not scan labels at the moment.
So we need help to replace these bits of kit.
 HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Simple
Green Button that says Donate to Clearlabelling To clearlabelling
Also with the increasing number of visitors, we will have to upgrade our hosting package.  More expense.
So if we do not get any donations we could soon be in trouble.
Even $1 Or £1 would help.

Well no donation so far, and no money left in the clearlabelling account, so it is now just a matter of time before we go off line.

THE  CONTINUING STORY

Have you seen the picture of
Persil Liquigel Capsules
Well Clearlabelling wrote to Unilever several months ago, and guess what? They could not even be bothered to answer our letter.  We will be writing again and also sending lots and lot of Emails till we get a satisfactory reply.

Well
We have finally had a reply from Unilever.  Apparently they have not trace of our letter, perhaps they should try looking in the waste paper basket!!!  Just the usual rubbish.
"I would like to take the opportunity to assure you we do try to make the information on our packs as clear as possible. However, sometimes it is difficult to achieve a balance between including all the necessary information and retaining absolute clarity".
IF THE CONTRAST WAS BETTER IT COULD STILL BE THE SAME SIZE IT IS NOW AND WE WOULD BE ABLE TO READ IT.
Is that too much to ask???
Needles to say we have written again putting this point, and suggesting that they look at our web site,
FAT CHANCE
Like most companies they think they know all there is to know about labelling.
WRONG
Now we have been in Email contact, and even spoken to the "Customer Care Line". I have  once again tried to explain what we need from labels, they are all obsessed with SIZE!! Lets make it bigger and then they will stop complaining.
WRONG AGAIN
In spite of asking them several times, no one has as yet as bothered to look at our site.
Come on Unilever you do not know all the answers, so why not listen to other for a change?

Success story
We have one success to report, a leading food manufacturer is about to  add a new product to it's range of cookin sauces.
The original label for this product was going to be
Black Text on a Red Background.
BUT
following comments from Clearlabelling about some of the labels on their other products, they decided to use.
White text on a Red background.
Judge for yourselves
(Hover over to see examples)

So a small success
BUT
Great Oaks from little acorns grow.
Thanks to the company (which must remain unnamed).
